YAI wasn't built in a lab. It was built from thousands of conversations with contractors.
Over four years at Signpost — where I was the top sales rep and later top sales manager — I worked with thousands of home service businesses on marketing, sales, and review automation. I sat across from roofers, plumbers, HVAC techs, and electricians every single day. I heard the same story over and over: "I'm great at my trade, but I can't keep up with the calls, the follow-ups, and the reviews."
After Signpost, I went to Palantir — where the world's most complex organizations use AI and automation to solve their hardest problems. And I kept thinking: why does a Fortune 500 company get this technology, but a 15-person plumbing shop doesn't?
That question became YAI. We took enterprise-grade AI and automation and built it specifically for the trades — so contractors can answer every call, follow up on every lead, and book more jobs without adding staff or learning complicated software.
The name says it all. YAI — pronounced "Yay" — because that's how it should feel when your phone rings and the job gets booked, even when you're not there to pick up.

Dan spent four years at Signpost as their top-performing sales rep and sales manager, working directly with thousands of home service contractors on marketing, sales, and review automation. He then joined Palantir, where he saw firsthand how enterprise-grade AI and automation could transform the way organizations operate.
The son of a 28-year US Air Force veteran, Dan grew up all over the country and learned early what it means to show up, work hard, and take care of the people around you. He built YAI to bring that same energy — and the best technology available — to the contractors and tradespeople who keep this country running.
